Customer Appreciation Celebration
One of the most rewarding efforts that engage professionals is the celebration of a 'Client Appreciation' Annual. It 'a real pleasure for me to see so many customers in one place. These are people who commit themselves daily to be a bit '(or a lot) better tomorrow than they were yesterday.
To see them all in one place, I could not help but wonder "What separates these people from the other?" The first answers were clear. There was an undeniable 'vitality'. The laughter was loud, loyal and brave. The conversations are friendly and sincere. All guests listened attentively and with great interest the ongoing conversations.
Many of them had never met each other because so much of coaching is on the phone, yet their commonality was evident. This was not a typical networking event. Other traits that stood out: a passion to learn and to live, work and play life to the fullest. In other words, they were tenacious.
For some time I have heard that the brightest among us have more to learn. What is it that drives a person to develop into brilliant? Bright people become this way through a pure passion for learning. And, as you know, the doors to them for further learning enabling them to become even brighter. How hilarious!
These "living" individuals show persistence at all levels, not only to learn new things. The were all employed in management positions and this means that all cared enough to run the show, although it would be easier to see someone else do it. Looking for a way to make a difference, big or small. They believe in themselves enough to know that their opinion matters. They really care about.
There are others out there who are satisfied with the status quo and that is good for them. Create symmetry for the rest of us. I am blessed, lucky, and over the good fortune to work with people who are willing to commit their time, money and heart to make their world, so our world a better place.
This week, look around. You know those areas where they are tenacious sticking firmly to a plan decision, or the option without changing or doubting it)? In this way, how are you making life easier, better, more prosperous for another individual? Acknowledge yourself for doing this difference.
The next step, to recognize and value those whose tenacity is making a difference for you! There is no denying that what goes around comes around.
Try to focus on your own celebration of appreciation for your tenacity just this week. Have a great week with your new discoveries! ......
