6 Characteristics of a leader

What personality type has a leader, someone who exudes charisma, have?
It seems that leaders have 6 basic features.

1. Simplicity

It should first be aware of the fact that people with charisma are usually simple and modest. They are people who can not continually that they are arrogant towards others. In a group, not people trying to draw attention to charismatic boasted their talent or quality, or by a display of their virtues.

2. The ability to listen to others

Some years ago a popular magazine held a competition. The readers have had to invent pieces of philosophical wisdom or spiritual, in 25 words or less. A reader submitted the following gem: "People who talk about themselves are holes, others are people who talk about gossip, but those who speak of six brilliant conversationalists!" It 'so true. If you want to acquire a magnetic personality, you must learn to encourage others to express themselves, and to talk about themselves to you. Ask questions about their work, their hobbies, their families and so on. Give them the opportunity to re-veal themselves to you.

3. Self-esteem and assertiveness

Shyness, which we will discuss in detail in the chapter devoted to it, is not necessarily a negative quality if it is no exaggeration, in which case it is more like a healthy sense of fairness and confidentiality.
However, if your shyness keeps you from communicating with others, to assume the correct position in society, to meet people with whom you feel you have something in common, to do good for the oral exams or show your best side during the job interviews, then you should do something about it. People with charisma are not too shy, and if they once were, they managed to overcome it. We will see how later.

4. The ability to act decisively

This does not mean procrastinate - do not put off till tomorrow what you can do today. The charismatic people are neither lazy nor neglectful. If procrastination is one of your faults, you must absolutely get rid of it. An entire chapter of this book is devoted to the problem.
Be honest: do you admire people who can not make up their minds, they always seem to drag their feet, and have a lot of things they had to do last week, who have not yet found the time? No, of course not.

5. Delivering on commitments

It seems obvious? Well, you may be surprised how many people do not honor their commitments. "You're talking about commitments to small or large?" he asks.
And this is exactly the point - that is where you're going wrong. Because there are fewer commitments! A commitment is always important, whether it is a promise to play tennis with someone, or give a considerable amount of money to a friend in need. You are judged on how badly your punctuality at a dinner, like you are in paying off debts. People with charisma are people you can count on. They are like rocks - constant fixed points in an unstable, changing universe.

6. Feeling good about yourself

Watch out! Feeling good about yourself does not mean you have to look like Marilyn Monroe and Robert Redford. Physical beauty has nothing to do with the magnetism of a person. Never forget that.
President Roosevelt was an invalid, Cicero, according to historical descriptions, was afflicted with a physical foul, nor would it be Joan of Arc and Queen Elizabeth have won beauty contests. Many of the most influential people in society have nothing physically attractive about them .......
