Salamanca University New Year's Eve 2010
One year we invite you to celebrate New Year's Eve 2010 in Salamanca University. For those not familiar with this festival just say that it has reached such popularity in a few years as the San Fermin or other festivals.
Its beginning was commercial and was linked to Salamanca, for several years, a couple of dozen young people gathered on the Thursday before New Year's Eve (actually two Thursdays before to avoid some people might be missing for reasons of travel) in the Plaza Mayor Salamanca and celebrated with jelly beans, the arrival of the 12 in the same way we would do in normal New Year's Eve.
This tradition was present for many years even to fill the Plaza Mayor of Salamanca and the surrounding area (more than 30,000 attendees).
In 2009, there was a problem for the organizers and the city government, which led to the party, officially, is not carried out and therefore, the organizers took it to Zamora.
Although there was no Salamanca officially New Year's Eve, was one of the funniest things I've ever seen because there were more people in Salamanca in Zamora, reinforcing the idea that this party belongs to this city.
The state that is now this party is the same as in previous years, on Thursday, December 16, 2010 we will meet students and students in the Plaza Mayor of Salamanca to celebrate New Year's Eve 2010, and later college partying at this beautiful city.
We are waiting, do not hesitate to come and enjoy one of the biggest parties in Salamanca!
