Open questions - Super Size Your Team Building Event

Using open-ended questions is a tool that a team building facilitator takes to get participants to examine what has been learned.

These questions have no right or wrong answer, which should trigger the thought and understanding in the team members. These questions can be used for front-loading - the thoughts before the establishment of a task team building. These questions can be used also as a result of an activity to reflect on the team and where they are going.

Here are some examples of open questions that get results and inspire teamwork;

What was your first clue that things are not going well? How did he stop the chaos? What had to happen before we can start working towards a solution? What kind of solution that were as small teams fight for? What are some real examples from your work life that reflect this activity? As an initial team, as elements of high performing teams were evident and which items need more attention? Clarity of purpose and clarity of roles are essential to team performance. How did these factors affect performance? What he sees similarities between this and the workplace? Is there anything you want to focus our attention on future initiatives?

As you use your planning time? Were all included in the planning, if not why? Those of you who do not feel part of the team that made it impossible to push your way? You have created a common language? How is this job like? How can we achieve our learning team? What strategies did the development team to implement an effective solution? What was the result of the change during exercise? What strategies did the development team to adapt to change? What recommendations does the group for the management of change in the workplace on the basis of the experience? How did this activity to build trust? What changes have you noticed since you finished the steps? How did you overcome anxiety? How well did your training partners?

Using an open-ended question may raise ideas and create solutions that the teams did not think possible. In your next meeting, try some of these questions will bring out the power of teams - and the power of facilitation .......
