A Business Network Makes You Powerful - Article 3 of 8
As I mentioned in Article 2, your success will grow in proportion to the network. At some point, such as the Internet, you can just explode, and growth equity, both personally and financially, may be 20 to 50 times the network. One of the qualities that can speed up your network is magnetism. The more magnetic you are, the more people are drawn to you.
Before going deeper into this, let me explain what I mean by magnetism. Like magnets, people have positive and negative, or ability to attract and repel, respectively. In other words, using your ability to attract positive people to you. When a leader is positively magnetic, employees are motivated and more productive. When sales people are more magnetic, have more perspective and therefore more productive sales. As an individual, make more friends. When we exude negative energy, people are rejected, and the opposite happens.
Regardless of the type of career path, a skill that must always be working on is to improve your positive magnetism. While some people seem to be magnets born persons, is really the environment that have been raised that helped them to be more magnetic than someone else. Magnetism is something that evolves from the things we do or not do.
In the book How Full Is Your Bucket by Tom Rath and Donald O. Clifton, there is a simple analogy, but of a deep spoon (or spoon) and a bucket that captures the essence of how to be more magnetic. It seems with every communication or interaction with someone else as a trade in which is filling up and taking away from someone's bucket. In other words, an exchange is emotionally positive or negative from the point of view? If it is positive, is to fill their bucket and then fill your. If it is negative, it takes from their bucket, but it is also your drain. When you fill someone's bucket, you are being magnetic, and when you empty the bucket, you're losing the charm or magnetic power.
The key here is a mindset to choose how to respond and react to situations and make a mental choice to try to fill buckets of other people as often as possible. The more buckets that fill and fill them more often, we are more magnetic, and our network will be stronger.
Here are some simple ideas that you can do to fill buckets of other people:
- Smiling more
- Relax more and help others do the same
- To be most useful
- Find others to do things right and praise them
- Not be a critic
- Do not talk negatively about other people (even if you're right)
- Do not talk about other people behind their backs
- Stay off the blame game
- Stay out of conversations wrong and right
The more magnetic you will become the most successful. To be more magnetic you need to identify the behaviors that are causing to belittle your magnetism and work on those behaviors that create an environment in which you are more magnetic. If you do, you'll see your success skyrocket .......
